It was developed by the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

DICOM image viewer is a free Chrome extension to view DICOM images. It can view DICOM images from a website, a file, or a URL. It does not need to download the image. You can view the images in a variety of formats, including GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and many more. You can adjust the image to fit the screen.
